Jason Schleifer Rigging Bundle Downloadable

Due to popular demand, I’ve made the Jason Schleifer Rigging Bundle downloadable directly from LULU.com w/out having to purchase and ship a DVD.

It’s a little bit cheaper than buying the DVD, andΒ  way more convenient!

If there is interest, I can also make the individual dvds downloadable as well.. just let me know!

To purchase, simply click on the image or on the link below!

    Hi,
Is it possible to make available “Integrating a Creature Rig Withing a Production Pipeline” dvd as a separate download… it would be more useful to me…. thanks in advance and thanks for your great DVD’s.

    Hi,

Thanks for the reply. Visited the above link… but its a buy DVD page. couldn’t find any downloadable option. want a downloadable option because the trackable shipping charges is around 100$ (more than twice the charge of DVD) which is high for me from India. Is there any downloadable link…

  4. heya!

ah, I see what you’re saying.. make the integration dvd downloadable as well! right now only the bundle is downloadable.

I can look at doing that.. I would have to find the original disk image, but let me look into it.

  5. Okay, I’ve added a downloadable option for the integrating dvd.. it turns out it’s cheaper for ya, too! πŸ™‚

Hi, is there a preview or an index of the topics in this DVD? Is it generally rigging or especially characters/humans? Thanks

  9. jason says:

    Hiya simon!
I’ve an example of the documentation for part of it available here:

    http://www.lulu.com/items/volume_66/976000/976270/2/preview/integrating_demo.pdf

I’ll see if I can get one for the fast animation rigs, too! πŸ™‚

it’s based on characters & humans, but the techniques can be extended to all types of rigging.

  10. simon says:

    Hi Jason,

I couldnt figure out what are exactly the topics of the rigging bundle. This looks like a presentation layout. So i ask you concretely: I want to build a human rig.
    1. I want realistic skin deformations so think about using maya muscle on top of normal skin clusters.
    2. techniques like locked wrist/foot in world space while the body move (might be not too advanced, but i want to get sure if intermediate stuff is also covered in the topics)
    3. User interface for facial expressions
    4. Squash and stretch
    5. perhaps things like bird wings or similar stuff

Im a noob not a TD and i learn by myself
    Thank you very much

if you are rewriting them is there any chance of doing them in python or pymel…just want to see your workflow in this languages….i usually find MEL so syntactically uuugghhhh!!!!

    • jason says:

you know what? I hadn’t thought about it, but it’s a great idea! I’ve used python before, but not pyMel.. I think it’d be great to learn it & convert everything!

      good idea!

as for how I release them.. I’m running into a huge problem with piracy.. I’ve been looking into ways of releasing them in a way that’s less susceptible to being pirated.

Apple’s new ibook thing looks pretty powerful… but then only people with ipads could read them. The other option is to just do pdfs that are watermarked.

      what do you guys think?
